The laser target in vein removal is the hemoglobin in the veins. The laser is pulsed along the veins, which causes the blood to heat up and become sticky. The walls of the veins then stick to each other and blood cannot flow through. If blood cannot flow through the vein, the vein will disappear. This procedure can be performed anywhere on the body and will work on very small to moderately sized blood vessels. Compression must be worn after treatment of leg veins. This procedure is offered in 15 minute time increments. The results vary from person to person. Adequate results may be obtained with one treatment or several treatments.
